After ten years of drought ‘Lake Hartwood’ is finally full and is an absolute picture; full of birdlife and is ready to enhance the enjoyment of the annual Campfires and Country Music Festival held on the property over the Easter long weekend.
This is the 23rd year with, as usual, a great line up of artists including Peter Horan, Paul McCloud, Tom Maxwell, Laura Downing, Rodney Vincent, Carter and Carter, Doug McIntyre, Don Costa, Vic Lanyon and Parkes’ Elvis Idol winner, Royden Donohue.
Publicity has been late this year following a directive from local Council to lodge a Development Application and the usual bureaucratic red tape that has taken some months to wade through.
However, all systems are now go and with the recent rains of almost 8 inches, the campground looks exceptional. Work is starting in preparation for April 2, 3 and 4, with expectations for our biggest crowd yet. Gates open on Monday 29th March at 9am.
