It’s been a bit long but “no news is good news” so they say. Although not as many campers as the previous year, the Hartwood Festival proved to be a great success again. All artists were fantastic as were our campers who do a great job keeping the property clear of rubbish each year. Our thanks to you once again.

Lucky Starr was an enormous hit with the crowd with plenty of audience participation, as were the Gunbarrell Highwaymen.
The beautiful voices of Evelyn Bury and Sharon Heaslip rang out in the bush and who could forget the fantastic talent and antics of Peter Horan. Keith Jamieson and Alisha and Kaitlyn wowed the crowd as of course did the ever popular Crag Giles & Kinta.

Tom Maxwell was presented with a trophy celebrating 10 years of Hartwood appearances and his wonderful campfire nights and our trusty volunteers of 20 and 10 years of being on board were each presented with an award of appreciation.
On the CD front “Forever” has now been deleted, but a double CD of Essential Collection and Forever is now available. Cost of this one is $30 and all others are $25 which includes postage. For an updated list of available CDs please contact Hele by email or on 0428 442158. We are no longer taking credit card orders. Payment for CDs can be made by direct deposit or cheque/money order. Paul has been working on some new songs with the assistance of Peter Horan so we’ll have to wait and see if another album eventuates in the future! By the way Peter Horan has a new CD out “Finale” … do yourself a favour … as Molly would say … and send $25 to PO Box 1611 Bathurst NSW 2775.

Paul has been kept busy these past months nursing Oscar back to health after an accident which resulted in him breaking a leg. The first operation didn’t work and he had to have a second pin and plate inserted. It is a very slow recovery and he is now swimming most days and having physiotherapy to strengthen the leg.
The new Hartwood 2014 flyer is now on the website with a list of fantastic artists once again. We are looking forward to having Tania Kernaghan with us for the first time next Easter.
It has been a nice winter here in Buderim but soon we’ll be making the trip back to the farm to start preparing for Easter 2014.
Cheers for now,
Hele & Paul
