Paul McCloud recently released his long awaited CD, Remember Me at the Hartwood Campfires and Country Music Festival, Easter 2018. This CD has been many years in the making and resulted when Peter Horan and Paul, after touring together in concert, decided to work together on an album. Peter, a well known artist in his own right, musical genius and master of the keyboard, arranged and recorded the music a few years ago. Paul finally put the vocals down at Redbak Studios last October after appearing at the Leeton Country Music Festival in NSW.
This album features a great variety of songs that have been selected for Paul over several years and finally coming together in an excellent mix of easy listening tracks with Paul’s unique voice, Peter Horan’s magical musical arrangement and beautiful subtle harmonies by Sharon Benjamin. Paul’s favourite is the classic Don’t Forget To Remember Me, recorded by the Bee Gees and also Evelyn Bury. You Raise Me Up is a beautiful version of the gospel song and the title track Remember Me actually came from Ireland. Play Me The Waltz Of The Angels and Dance With Me Molly are becoming real favourites with Paul’s audiences. All 14 tracks fit together beautifully allowing for about 50 minutes of relaxing easy listening music.
Having relinquished the Hartwood Festival into the capable hands of Chrys Kelly and Tom Maxwell, Paul is now mostly retired, although is happy to perform at the occasional festival or concert. He is at his happiest when singing.
